Right now the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless and Amex Marriott Business cards have elevated sign up bonuses and would be great if you are planning a Disney trip (or really any family trip!).
Elevated offers right now
Chase offer-You can get 5 free night certificates (50k points each), when you spend $5000 in 3 months. You can also top off the free night certificates with extra points, up to15k points per night making them even more useful. These certificates must be used within 12 months.
Amex- You get 5 free night certificates (50k points each) when you spend $8000 in the first 6 months. You can also top these off with extra Bonvoy points.
How to earn points on the Bonvoy card
17x points per dollar spent at Marriott hotels
3x points per dollar spent (up to $6,000 per year) on grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations.
Annual fee
$95 annual fee
We feel like this card is worth the annual fee because each year you receive a free night certificate (35k) that we redeem for a free night. As long as the free night is worth more than $95, then we are golden!
How we use this card at Disney
Disney World
Use these free night certificates at the three Marriott hotels on property- The Swan (a Westin hotel) Dolphin (Sheraton), and Swan Reserve. We have stayed at the Swan Reserve and loved it. Be prepared to top off the free nights with some Marriott points as there are not many nights at these three hotels that are under 50K points. Your best bet is looking at either the Swan or Dolphin if looking to use Certificates, as the point structure is slightly higher at the Swan reserve.

All three are in the Epcot resort area and are really close for Epcot and Hollywood studios. There are extra benefits to staying at these three hotels. Early morning entry each morning, and late night entry for deluxe resorts at Epcot and Magic Kingdom.

Disneyland
There are many choices near Disneyland using Marriott certificates (but be prepared to definitely top most of them off with extra points.)
Springhill Suites- plenty of nights here that you can use a certificate. One block further than the Residence inn. No free breakfast but big rooms for families.
JW Marriott Anaheim- not a ton of nights that have back to back nights around 50k-65k but we have stayed here and loved the convenient location and the hotel is really nice.

Residence Inn- plenty of nights off season that are around 50k and it includes free breakfast. Close enough to walk which is also nice.
Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park- closest with an amazing pool area but the lowest points for one night off season is 76,000 so it’s not possible to use a free night certificate at this property.
