Packing for a Disney trip is different than other vacations. Let’s help you narrow down what you really need! Here are our Disney Park Essentials from Amazon. That way you won’t end up buying items you forgot at a Disney store and gasping at the register!
1. Fuel Rod
Fans of the Fuel Rod love the convenience of a small, easy (and FREE!) to exchange battery charger at Disney parks and Resorts. Did you know can also purchase them for A LOT LESS on Amazon instead?

2. Bubble tubes
We LOVE buying these for disney trips with toddlers and older kids. Instead of paying $$$ for a bubble wand in the disney parks (which break easily, are big and bulky and frankly put out WAY TOO MANY BUBBLES!), buy a pack of these instead! Throw in a few each day in your park bag, and while waiting in a queue, hand one to a toddler and watch the magic. Small enough that one will last in a longer line, then toss after with No mess! We also love to pack a couple extra and when we make friends in line, ask their parents if they can join in the fun! Lot’s of choices on Amazon, ours was a 24 pack for $18, and we liked them for a slightly bigger amount of bubbles compared to the smaller wedding bubble tubes.
3. Character Books
We just bought these books and are really excited to take them to the park. It’s great to take books to have characters sign, since we can use them to look at when we get back home and remember everyone we got to meet! We used to have the original book that had characters from A to Z, but this version is updated with more characters, and is organized by film instead of alphabetized so it’s easier to find characters to sign.
Marvel character book (if Visiting DCA)
If you are visiting Disney’s California Adventure and have a child that loves all things Marvel, this book would be great to take for characters to sign! Each character has their own page which is nice for signatures. It sells for $9.99.
4.Clickable Sharpies
No matter how you decide to get character signatures, make sure to buy a pack of retractable pens. Better than losing a cap in the bottom of you bag (true story), and it’s a simple click to be ready for characters to sign (characters like you to have the pen ready).
5. Rechargeable Fan
One of the first things we pack so we don’t forget is our rechargeable handheld fans. And don’t forget one of the cords in your park bag and use a fuel rod to charge if needed!
If you are bringing a stroller, these clip on fans are a must to keep napping babies/toddlers nice and cool.
