Animal Kingdom Lodge- Kidani

Last trip our party of 9 stayed in a standard two bedroom villa. As luck would have it, it sleeps 9. We had a fantastic stay and here is why.

Animals

I mean they are the star of the show at this resort. Giraffes, zebra, oxen, gazelle, and flamingos. And even though we didn’t spend extra for a savannah view, there are plenty of viewing areas around the resort.

Our Villa

We booked a two bedroom villa. It sleeps 9 with:

one king bed (bedroom 1)

two queen beds (bedroom 2)

queen sofa bed (see below for how to make this as comfortable as possible)

one chair that make into a small bed (for a small child for sure)

 

 

 

 

Main area

full kitchen (full size fridge/freezer)

oven/stove

microwave

dishwasher

utensils/plates/cups

pots/pans/cooking utensils

dining table and barstools

stacked washer and dryer with soap for one load

sofa, coffee table, chair

THREE BATHROOMS

Two with shower/bath combos and the primary bathroom with a large soaking tub and separate shower (this bathroom is HUGE)

A balcony (ours overlooked the bus station, as I requested close to bus stop)

TV’s in living room, and each bedroom

POOL

You can use either Kidani’s pool or venture down the road to Jambo- but I prefer Kidani’s pool. It has a slide, playground, and pool with a smaller slide for toddlers.

On a resort day, it a fantastic place to sit by the pool, enjoy a drink at the pool bar, and then walk over and see the flamingos. They also have resort activities including a campfire, animal talks, pool parties and movies under the stars!

Transportation

Buses are the only form of transportation, even to Animal Kingdom park. Buses come often and it’s nice to be able to know when they are going to arrive in you my Disney experience app (under my resort).

FOOD

Kidani only offers quick service (downstairs at Sanaa) for breakfast, but if you need a quick service for lunch or dinner, take the shuttle (or a short walk) to Jambo house.

Sanaa- nice dinner to sit and watch the animals on the savannah through the glass and don’t miss the bread service!
