Disney Vacation Club Resorts and our Favorites

With so many choices of Disney Vacation Club Resorts, one of the hardest choices for your vacation might be which resort to rent from!  Here are each of the Disney Vacation Club resorts by area and which one we would choose and why.

Walt Disney World

With twelve resorts, it has by far the most to choose from! We’ve separated them into three areas, Budget, Monorail, and Epcot areas, With our picks for each list.

Budget friendly DVC resorts

Disney vacation club animal kingdom kidani village

Looking to purchase instead?  Here are details about buying DVC resale vs. direct.

Pixie Point Gals Pick– We Love both Animal Kingdom resorts, but personally prefer Kidani for its pool and it’s smaller feel (it also usually gets picked up first for buses and first to get dropped off too).  Splurge for a savanna view room and each morning, spend time on your balcony watching the animals on the savanna.  All of these resorts are good for those on a budget, or those looking at dates sooner than 7 months until their vacation. If you are love Disney Springs, we would recommend staying at Saratoga Springs since it is a short walk, and has murphy beds instead of a sofa bed.

Monorail (plus two bonus magic kingdom resorts)

Pixie Point Gals Pick Don’t make us choose! We love Polynesian for their huge studios and the fact they are the only DVC resort that has connecting studios. We also love Grand Floridian for their new resort studios and ease of getting to Magic Kingdom!  Both are so convenient for the monorail, and the theming for both is spot on. Bonus the lobby smells for both are our favorite!

Epcot area

mosiac at Disney Vacation Club Riviera Walt Disney World

Pixie Point Gals Pick–  Okay now we are just bailing on picking one! Let’s just say we choose Boardwalk if you want value, Beach Club if you want a resort day at the pool, and Riviera if you love the skyliner and great restaurants.
Riviera edges out right now with the new pretty rooms.

Disneyland

Pixie Point Gal Pick– Right now it’s easier to find availability at the Disneyland Towers since it hasn’t sold out yet, but both are very hard to rent because of demand and they are small resorts (the Grand Californian only has 48 studios in total!!!).  Take either If you are lucky enough to snag a rental!

Beach Resorts

Did you know that Disney owns three beach resorts?  These resorts are laid back, with a Disney touch! There are two on the Atlantic Coast and one in Hawaii on the Pacific Ocean.  These are great for families who want a  Disney beach vacation and want to rent at a discount too.  Cast members at these resorts are some of the best we have seen.

Disney's Aulani Disney Vacation Club Hawaii

Pixie Point Gals picks– Aulani is an amazing resort and should be on everyone’s bucket list if you love Disney. Vero Beach is a great for an add on to Disney World or if you are taking a Cruise out of Cape Canaveral.

You can find our plan for Aulani here.
