Process to Rent on Facebook

Join groups
You can either respond to an owner who posts about renting points, or post yourself what you are looking for. Be specific, but flexible with resorts and dates if you can.

What to Post

Example Post: I am looking for Beach Club for Jan 2023. I am flexible with dates but hoping to rent a 2 bedroom for 5 days.

DM owners and ask lots of questions (we have them below as a reference)
Usually you will make a small good faith deposit before they make the reservation, but there is no cost for an owner to make a reservation (usually this is under 100 dollars). They spend around 30-60 minutes to do this for you so they don’t want to waste their time if you are flakey.
You can ask for a three way phone call with DVC services if you want to make sure, but 99% of the time a reservation is made online. Have the owner put your name first on the reservation and be sure your email is correct.
Make sure you get an email from DISNEY and put the reservation number in your my Disney experience app to confirm reservation before sending payment. The reservations should have the following: Dates, Names, Reservation number/information. Load it into your my disney experience app to make sure it is valid.
Most owners take PayPal and Venmo so they can get paid instantly.This is when you send the full payment. It is very hard (really close to impossible) to forge a reservation inside the my disney experience app.

*** There will always be a small % risk to RENTERS because OWNERS control your reservation all the way up until check in, but if you have done your homework and have an experienced, reputable OWNER and valid Reservation#, 99.9% you should expect a smooth check in and a wonderful stay.
