Cover Travel Purchases with a Capital One Venture/Venture x

Using the Capital One Travel Purchase Option

Here is the step by step process of how to use the cover travel purchases option on your capital one venture or venture x. This is one of the easiest ways to get purchases for Disney covered with a credit card! This will work with both the venture and the venture x card. 10,000 points = 100 dollars. 1. Open your capital one app and click on the box under your payment that says Explore Rewards and Benefits. Click this button.
2. It will then take you to this screen. Click “Cover Travel Purchases”
3. On this page, you will see all of your travel purchases in the last 90 days:
4. For every 1,000 points is 10 dollars or 1 cent per point. For example Disneyland tickets of $500 dollars from undercover tourist would cost you 50,000 points. Notice in my example you can also cover only a portion of a travel expense (this is great for things like Disney cruises that would cost a lot of points!)

There might be “better” ways to use your points, but capital one is one of the few cards with a feature like this and with the flexibility! You can combine points with anyone else who has a venture/venture x, including those outside of your household. You can also combine them with your business capital one points such as those from a Capital One spark miles card.

You can also hold both the venture and venture x card. You just need to make sure you spread out your applications to 1 every 6 months.
