Our top tips for your Aulani vacation
11 months (or as close to this as you can!)
Book your Disney Vacation Club rental. This is especially the case for expected times (Christmas break, Spring break months, Summer), as these DVC studios and villas can fill up quickly. Our favorite times to visit are fall and winter, with ocean breezes and less crowds.
5 times you need to book 11 months out

6 months
Because space is limited and it’s very popular, make sure to make your Luau dinner and show reservation soon after they open up at 6 months. Pro tip- we always book an island view room category of Disney Vacation Club room, request a Luau view, and watch from our balcony and save $$$.
90 days
Last visit we scheduled a time for a couples massage at the Laniwai Spa and it was so transforming, I don’t think I’ve every felt that relaxed after a massage. We were able to go into the spa one hour before our massage and spend time in the hydrotherapy area with different showers, hot tub and cold plunge pools. Some treatments go fast, so log on at 90 days. Tip- charge it to your room so you use Capital One miles to pay for your facial!
Using Capital One Miles at Aulani
You can also start registering children for Aunty’s Beach House (the kid’s club at the resort) at 90 days out and up to 2 days before you check in.The kid’s club is free for a couple of hours each day, with activities and fun for children ages 4-12. You can get more information about how to register HERE.

30 Days
30 days out dining opens up for the two sit down restaurants on property ( “Ama’Ama and Makahiki). I missed the date and was sad that every morning was booked for character dining, but I stalked the app and found a time for the Character breakfast with Mickey, Goofy, Max and friends. Best character meals I’ve had either at parks for other resorts at Disney, so worth the splurge!
During your vacation
Some free and paid activities have a sign up on the day of. Make sure to download the Aulani app so you can see what activities are available on different days of your vacation. Usually you will sign up for activities at the community center located poolside by the elevators and laundry room. We loved taking a Ukulele class, doing the scavenger hunt, and listening to the storyteller at night by the pool.
