What’s Included on a Disney Cruise
If you wonder( oh a pun!) what’s included on a Disney Cruise, it’s A LOT! Here is what included and not included in the price of your cruise with Mickey. OH BOY!

What’s included
Room
This seems obvious but it’s worth noting that there is a price difference between the different types of staterooms on a ship. Inside (no window), Oceanview (large porthole), Deluxe Verandah (that have a balcony), and Concierge level (suites with added convenience but pricey). Price is also dependant on where your room is located (forward, middle, or aft).
Included in your price is someone to take care of your room (multi daily cleaning, turndowns and those amazing towel animals!)

Food
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at either the buffet, quick grab n go, or at the sit down restaurants will be included (see exception below). Snacks (banana soft serve anyone?), room service (did you know you can order a mickey ice cream bar at anytime of day?), soft drinks, coffee, juices are all included in your package.
Shows
Broadway level shows and first run movies in the movie theater are included. Don’t miss the nightly shows, there are really amazing. Different ships have different shows, so if you have a Frozen or a Beauty and the Beast fan, make sure that your ship has the show you want!

.What to pack on your Disney Cruise
Kids club
There is no shortage of fun for kids, tweens and teens onboard. The kid’s clubs are the best I’ve seen. The first cruise I took with just my husband and myself (no kids), he wondered why there wasn’t many kids on board a Disney Ship. Then we were disembarking he said “oh there were tons of kids here, we just never saw them! They must have been in the club a lot!” Then the next cruise I toured the Oceaneer Club and wondered if I could pull off being a kids so I could join in the fun.
Entertainment
In addition to Broadway shows, there is numerous classes like cooking and napkin folding (highly recommend for a good laugh- I’m sure you are better than me at this!) trivia games and karaoke. My goal is to win just one trivia challenge and get one of the big Disney Cruise medals they give out! There is no shortage of entertainment like characters around the ship, Jack Jack’s Diaper Dash (this was so fun), pirate night and fireworks at sea with Mickey zip lining from the top of the boat!
Disney’s private islands
Most cruises to the caribbean will include at least one of these islands. Activities and food are included. Are you a runner? Make sure to do the castaway 5k that takes place each day on the island. You’ll also find characters for pictures too!

Here is what is not included:
Tips
Tips are $14.50 per person, per night is the tip on a Disney Cruise. After we got to know our server and talked to them about the work they do onboard, this seemed like such a small amount to tip for the service they provide, if you want to add an additional amount bring some cash for the end to tip them.
Alcohol drinks
Disney allows guest ages 21+ to bring a limited amount of unopened beer (six containers of no more than 12 ounces each) or wine (two containers of no more than 750 ml each) onboard at embarkation and at each port call. This alcohol must be in carry-on (not checked) luggage. Make sure to pack a bottle opener and wine corkscrew, since you won’t find these in a stateroom and there is a charge to open it at dinner.
Signature dining
Depending on the ship, there are Signature restaurants (like Palo) that are not included in the price of your cruise. There are also signature dining events like princess tea that you might need to budget extra for. I’ve heard these are amazing, but I’ve never found a need to pay for them.
Excursions
Port excursions will not included in the price of your cruise, but you can book excursion directly with Disney.
Bingo
We chose to pay for bingo on a port day that wasn’t worth getting off the boat. It was so much fun, the cast members were so entertaining!
Spa services
There is a full service spa on board and when some family members got a massage during our sailing, that wasn’t included in the price.
Nursery babysitting
For infants and toddlers too young to attend the kids club, you have the option to pay for the nursery so you can have some time for a nice dinner or a date night.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
This is the same as if you were going to a park, and very hard to get a reservation.
Island extras
Things like private cabanas and bike rentals on Disney’s private islands would be extra. We rented a bike to take a full tour of the island, and it was worth the price!
Flights
If you need to travel to the port, airfare, parking etc are not included in the price of your cruise.
How to use Capital One Miles for extras not included
We are so excited for our next Disney Cruise in April! Have you sailed on a Disney Cruise?
